GENERAL QUESTIONS

Q: I want to place an order. How does it work?

A: Usually the procedure is the following:

1. You send us info you want to include in signs or you send us artwork.
2. We send you a proof drawing and ask for your approval.
3. We send you an invoice with a proof drawing included and ask you to check all the invoice information carefully and check the design for any misspells.
4. You print out an invoice, fill out the info about you or our company, sign this invoice and send it back to us by fax or e-mail as order confirmation.
5. We ask for 50% deposit to start the job under Pick Up / Delivery options or 100% if we have to ship an order.
6. For down payment you can use the following options: a credit card, PayPal, a cheque, direct payment to our bank account, Interac Money Transfer or cash.
7. Production time depends on number of signs. We try to complete every order asap.

We are located in Vaughan, (north of Toronto) Ontario, Canada. You'll find a pick up address in an invoice.
9. We need balance payment on pick up or before shipping out an order.
10. We guarantee you order will be done with max accuracy and precision during required time frame according to all invoice statements and conditions. See our previously made signs in Sign Gallery.

Q: I sent you the info I want to include in the design for yard signs. Do you want me to pay first for the signs and then you start working on the design?

A: Let's start with a design for your sign order. We'll make a design for your sign order and we'll send you a proof drawing shortly. When you approve artwork, we'll send you an invoice and you'll provide us with a payment. Then we'll print the signs and on the next business day we can ship out your order. If you want us to ship your order, please provide us with your address to calculate a shipping cost.

Q: Is lawn sign advertising effective?

A: Lawn signs are very effective, fast and inexpensive advertising. Lawn signs are the best solution for promoting your business, service, political campaigns, fundraiser, advertising or an event. You target local clients in a specific area and interested people call you the same minute you put on a sign. These signs work for you and they are in a great demand these days.

Q: We just started the business. Do you think we can get new clients through lawn sign advertising?

A: Almost all our clients come to us through lawn sign advertising. This advertising is very effective, fast and simple. You target local clients in a specific area and interested people call you the same minute you put on a sign.

Q: How long will it take to make 100 bag signs?

A: It takes 2-3 business days to make 100 24"x20" lawn signs upon design approval and down payment.

Q: Can you tell me your hours?

A: We work every day from 8a.m. to 8p.m. Please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Q: Why do you require a deposit to start a job? What if I'm not satisfied with a product I purchased?

A: We are in this business for a long time and we have a huge portfolio of previously made signs (and a long list of satisfied clients). Please check Sign Gallery pages to see some recently completed lawn sign orders. Besides, customer satisfaction is the priority of our service, read our REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY.

Q: Do you offer any other methods of advertising?

A: Yes, we do. We offer a wide variety of advertising services, including Magnet Car Signs, Vinyl Graphics, Banners, Sign Holders (ex. A-Frame), Business Cards, Magnetic Calendar Pads and Note Pads etc. See the left vertical menu on any page of our web site, there is a list of services we provide.

Thank you for your positive feedback.

DESIGN

Q: I'll provide you with my own artwork for 24"x20" bags. What are your design requirements?

A: The design for 24"x20" bags should have a printable area 22"(w)x18"(h) - horizontal layout. We need a vector file created in any vector graphic program (Illustrator, CorelDraw, FLEXI, AutoCAD etc). The best file format is PDF. The image should have embedded fonts (create outlines instead of fonts). All drawing elements should be vectorised (we can't use pixel graphics for a screen print process).

Q: What is a printable area for 24"x20" lawn bag signs?

A: Printable area is 22"(w) x 18"(h) for 24"x20" bags. Don't forget to embed fonts (create outlines) otherwise the original fonts may not be shown correctly.

Q: Should I send you what I want on my sign by e-mail?

A: Please send the info you want us to include in your signs and we'll make a design drawing. You can send the info by e-mail, fax 1-289-304-8624 or call us 1-416-222-7446.

Q: What is the max vector file size I can send you?

A: The max file size you can send us is 25MB but we don't think that a vector file with just text info would be bigger than 5MB. For bigger than 25MB files you may use some web sites that provides with free upload / download services:
https://www.yousendit.com
http://megaupload.com
http://uploading.com

Q: Do you charge for the design if it's just a text and my phone number?

A: The text only design is free of charge.

Q: Can you provide me with art work for my signs?

A: Please send us information you want to include in signs and we'll make a design drawing for you. If design is simple, it's free of charge. If we have to spend 1 hour or more on your artwork, we'll charge you $20 - $50 for the design depending on file complexity.

Q: Can you use my art work?

A: Please send us your design. We have to look at your design first to let you know if we can use it.

Q: Do you charge extra if I used reversed image for a lawn sign artwork (white letters on a blue background)?

A: Reversed image print (white letters on a printed background) is $30 - $50 more expensive because we have to use much more ink for such a design.
Please don't forget that a printable area for lawn bag signs is 1" smaller than a bag size on all edges around the images, for example: a printable area for 24"x20" lawn bag signs is 22"x18" (one inch from each sign side).

Q: Do you have blue bags?

A: Currently we have white & yellow bags, see our Front Page. It's not easy to print on dark or intense colour bags. For example for blue bags visible only colours are white and yellow. We have to print the image twice using these colours, otherwise the print looks faded or grayish. Because the image is printed twice this option is rather expensive and we don't buy dark or intense colour bags.

Q: I have rather small characters (letters) in my logo. Can you print them?

A: In our standard screen printing process we cut out the characters from adhesive vinyl to make a screen so it's a problem to print the characters if they are smaller than 1". We can use an advanced method though to make a film for a screen but this process is more expensive. Please send us your logo and we'll let you know if we can print the letters as they are or have to make them bigger.

Q: What file format do you prefer?

A: The best art work format is PDF. For digital print we accept both formats of vector and pixel graphics. For screen printing process we accept only vector files created in any vector graphic program (Illustrator, Corel Draw, FLEXI, AutoCAD etc). If you send pixel graphics (JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, PSD etc), we need to vectorize such a file (to convert it to a vector file). If a design is simple, this vectorization process is free of charge. If we have to spend 1 hour or more on your art work, we'll charge you $20 - $50 for the design.

Q: I made my design in Photoshop. Why can't you use it as is?

A: In screen printing process to make an image on a film we need a vector file created in any vector graphic program (Illustrator, Corel Draw, FLEXI, AutoCAD etc). The best file format is PDF. Adobe Photoshop works with pixel graphics we have to convert into a vector graphics and the vectorization result depends on the original file resolution. Please send us the file you have currently and we'll let know if we can use it.

Q: I can only provide you the file in Word format, can you get me a pdf proof read before print?

A: We can't use Word format as is; we have to retype the info for your sign in a professional vector program. We can use your Word file as a template though and it'll help us to understand your design idea. So please send us a design you have, we'll rework it and we'll send you a proof drawing.

Q: I created a design in MS Word and I used a specific font. Can you keep the font when you rework my design?

A: We'll try to find the same font and use it in our design program (we use Adobe Illustrator) but we can't guarantee that we'll find exactly the same font. In this case we'll find a similar font and we'll send you a proof drawing. Also you can send us this specific font - a file with an extension TTF, for example Arial.ttf.

Q: I want to use my logo from my web site. Can you print it?

A: A web site logo is a low resolution file that can't be used for any printing as is. We have to rework it to make it look good. Generally speaking, if you send us a low resolution raster file and we vectorize the file, the quality of lines and characters won't be perfect. See a sample of such a vectorization here.

Q: The picture on my web site looks good to me. Why can't you use it as is?

A: Usually a picture on a web site is a very small and low resolution file with a size from 15KB to 50KB. It means we have to redraw it using a professional vector program. Otherwise it would look ugly on your signs. The design fee is $20 - $50 depending on logo complexity.

Q: The raster file I'm going to send you has the size 90KB. Is it enough for a good quality print?

A: No, a raster file (pixel graphics) should have at least the size more than 1MB (the more the better). If the quality of a file you are going to send is not enough for a good quality print, we can rework it but a design fee applies. Please send us the file you have and we'll let you know if we can use it for printing.

Q: Can you make a vector file from a pixel file I have?

A: Yes, we can vectorize your raster file (pixel graphics). The design fee is $20 - $50 depending on original drawing complexity.

PRINT COLOURS

Q: I have 3 color logo. Can you make it 1 color?

A: Please send us your logo and we'll let you know if we can modify it.

Q: Can you print the colour I used in my design?

A: Non standard colour print is more expensive and takes more time to print (we need some time to order a non standard colour). See our standard colour list here.

Q: Do you have a pink colour?

A: Pink is not our standard colour and we need to know PMS number to check if we can order it (some extra fee applies).

Q: Can you match the PMS colour in my design?

A: Colour match is available and it is $50.00 extra. We use specific ink for screen printing and we cannot match exactly the required PMS number colour. But the colour will be close to your original colour.

Q: So you don't have standard pentone colors?

A: For screen printing process we buy special UV ink and it doesn't have Pantone Number. So we can print a colour similar to a pantone colour but not exactly the same. Besides print through a silk screen is not the same as digital print and a colour could look slightly different even taken from different buckets of the same colour set.

Q: Can you print shades?

A: In screen printing we can print images that look like shades (grayscale) but it's not a different print colour like in digital print. We print small dots instead of a solid printed area and it looks like shades (gradient). This process takes more time and is more expensive. Please send us your design and we'll let you know if we can print it.

Q: Can you print my photo on bag signs?

A: Standard screen printing process usually doesn't have shade or grayscale options. The image we print through a silk screen is the same colour and can't be darker or lighter. There is a trick though in screen printing we use to make a part of an image look lighter than the rest of the image. We print small dots instead of a solid printed area and it looks like shades (gradient). Such a process takes more time because we have to clean a screen every 10 prints so this option is more expensive.

Q: Why grayscale print is more expensive?

A: In screen printing an image with shadows (grayscale) is more expensive because it takes much more time for a screen making and print itself - we have to clean a screen every 10 printed signs.

Q: Can you use 4 colour process (CMYK) to print on bags?

A: No, we can't use digital print on soft materials like bags. We can provide you with full colour process (CMYK) on any rigid surface. The most economical rigid material is a corrugated board, in short - coroplast. See our prices for full colour digital print on 4mm white coroplast boards here.

Q: Can you print multi colour images?

A: If you send us a multi colour image, the best printing option is digital print on coroplast signs. The price depends on the number of signs you need. Please see our price list here.
If you adjust your design to 1 or 2 solid colour print, we can use a screen printing process and a price is significantly lower, see our Price List.

SIGN SIZES

Q: What bag sizes do you have?

A: Currently we have 3 different bag sizes available: 24"x20", 32"x20" and 32"x22".

Q: I need really big lawn signs. Is that size 32"x22" big enough?

A: 32"x22" bag signs are very big signs with thick and tall wire frames (44"x32"x3/8"dia). I think this bag size is the biggest on the market. Besides it's hard to manage bigger size signs.

Q: Can you make signs bigger than 32"x22" yard signs?

A: If you need a bigger sign, I suggest using coroplast signs. We can print on up to 96"x48" coroplast sheet with 4, 6, 8 and 10mm thickness. Besides it's full colour digital print process, there is no screen set up and you can order 1 sign only. Please see our price list with all available sizes here.
For big coroplast signs I recommend using wooden sticks you can purchase in a local Home Depot store, $1-$2 a piece.

Please check Sign Gallery pages to see some recently completed jobs. Besides, customer satisfaction is the priority of our service. We guarantee you order will be done with max accuracy and precision during required time frame according to all invoice statements and conditions.

Q: Do you accept C.O.D. (Cash On Delivery)?

Q: Do you take Canadian Tire money?

A: No, we don't. You can pay with a credit card, PayPal, a cheque, Interac Money Transfer or cash.

THE NUMBER OF LAWN SIGNS TO ORDER

Q: May I order 100 24x20 bag signs, the same design but different phone numbers: 30pcs with one phone number, 30pcs with another phone number and 40pcs with the third phone number?

A: Even if you want to change 1 character in your design, we have to make an extra screen to print a design with these changes. We need to make 2 extra screens for your order and the total is $450 + tax if you want to order 3 different designs for 100 lawn sign order. The most economical option is ordering 100pcs of the same design. See our price list here.

Q: We were thinking maybe we would need few signs only just to put around our community. Can you print few signs?

A: For few signs we can't use screen printing process because it becomes very expensive to make a screen for few signs only. We can use other methods that don't need set up expenses: cut out vinyl graphics or digital print. Please provide us with details of your advertising project and we'll recommend the best and the most economical print option.

Q: Can you make one sign only with just a text on both sides?

A: If you need 1-2 colour image, we can apply cut out vinyl characters manually on coroplast boards. Cut out vinyl graphics looks very good but it requires time, experience and accuracy. For example one 24"x18"x4mm white coroplast sign with 1-2 cut out vinyl graphics on both sides costs $25.00. H-shaped metal frame is included.

Q: Can you make less than 100 yard signs?

A: When it comes to number of signs less than 100, prices for screen print go up because making a screen is a long and an expensive process.
For example, if you order 50 24x20 lawn bag signs with one colour print, the price is $5.00/sign. Each additional colour is about +$1.50/sign. The total for 25 signs will be about 90% of the total for 50 signs.
For few signs only (especially if you need more than 1 colour print), a good option is full colour print on 24x18 coroplast signs, see our prices for full colour digital print on 4mm white coroplast boards here.

Q: I don't need 100 lawn signs. Will you make 50pcs or less?

A: Orders for less than 100 signs are not cost efficient. To make signs we use screen printing process so we make a silk screen to print on bags. It takes a lot of time to make a screen. That's why 100pcs is a good min order and more you order, less you pay. If you are absolutely sure you can't use 100 signs, you can order 50 24x20 lawn bag signs with 1 colour print for $5.00 each sign. It makes no sense to make less than 50pcs because the total will be approx. the same as for 50 signs.

Q: I just started my business and I think that 100 lawn signs are too many to begin with. Please advise.

A: 100 lawn signs is not a big number for the most businesses. City removes these temporary signs and put them in garbage so you have to put them on again. You will use 100 lawn signs in the nearest month or two and during this time you get new clients, cover your expenses and get profit. It's a very good advertising, you should try it.

COMPARING LAWN BAG SIGNS AND COROPLAST LAWN SIGNS

Q: What signs are better - coroplast lawn signs or bag signs?

A: Comparing lawn bag signs and lawn coroplast signs, bag signs are slightly bigger - 24"x20" instead of 24"x18". Bag signs are less expensive than coroplast signs with print on both sides. Besides H-wires (Step Stakes) for coroplast are thinner than U-wires for bag signs and H-wires bend easily under the strong wind. You can see coroplast lawn signs lying on the grass when strong wind happens. They just bend! Usually it doesn't happen with lawn bag signs if you push a wire frame 4-7" deep into the ground (7" is max depth for 30"x10" Step Stakes).

Q: I see that the price for coroplast yard signs is higher than for bag signs, right?

A: Coroplast lawn sign option is more expensive than lawn bag option that's why the most lawn signs nowadays are bag signs, not coroplast signs. It's a good idea using coroplast signs as post signs for traffic poles, fences etc. If you are looking for lawn signs, we recommend using bag signs; they are bigger (24x20 instead of 24x18 for coroplast), metal frames are thicker and bag signs are less expensive than coroplast lawn signs.

Q: What signs do you prefer to advertise your business - bag signs or coroplast signs?

A: Lawn bag signs are better (stronger and cheaper) than coroplast signs traditionally used for election purpose. That's why usually we use bag signs to advertise our sign business. We use bags made of thick white poly material. For frames we use ¼"dia good quality wires that does not rust or bend under strong wind.

Q: Why do you think U-frames for bag signs are stronger than H-frames for coroplast signs?

A: H-wires (Step Stakes) are thinner than U-wires for bag signs and H-wires bend easily under the strong wind. You can see coroplast lawn signs lying on the grass when strong wind happens. They just bend! Usually it doesn't happen with lawn bag signs if you push a wire frame 4-7" deep into the ground (7" is max depth for 30"x10" Step Stakes).

PRICES FOR LAWN BAG SIGNS

Q: How much are your lawn signs?

A: The price depends on the number of signs you order and a bag size. Please give us with more details for your advertising project and we'll provide you with a quote.

Q: I have art work already. Can you confirm the prices listed on your web site?

A: To give you the ultimate price we need to look at your art work because some design elements can increase the price (printed background, arrows etc). Please send us your design drawing and we'll provide you with a quote.

Q: I need a quote for yard signs. Do you want me to send you my artwork?

A: Yes, please. Different elements may affect the ultimate price of the sign (for example, printed background increase the price). In order to provide you with the most accurate quotation we need to see the design.

Q: I want to print different info on each sign side of 100 24"X20" yard signs. Do you charge more for that?

A: Yes, the price is $40.00 higher for such a sign. This option means that we have to make an extra screen for the second image that's why it becomes more expensive.

Q: I would like to find out if, let's say, I order 1000 signs, can I have 500 done with one content and the other 500 with a slightly different content for the same price? If yes, what would be the minimum order to be able to do that?

A: We use screen printing process to make these signs so, even if you make a small change in a design drawing, we have to make an extra screen. If you order 1000 signs with 2 designs (500 + 500), this order is like 2 different jobs to us and the price will be as if you order 2 sign sets x 500pcs each. We are ready to give you a discount price because you are going to place 2 sign orders instead of one - 500pcs each.

Q: Why there is such a huge difference in prices between 1 and 2 color print?

A: We use screen printing process to make lawn bag signs. Each colour is printed separately through a special silk screen. If we have to print 2 colour image, we make 2 separate silk screens (for each colour). So, if you need 2 colour signs, we have to print these signs twice or a design could be changed to one solid colour print and that will reduce the price significantly.

Q: Is it cheaper to make 4 solid colour image instead of my original full colour image?

A: Generally speaking 100 24"x20" lawn bag signs with 4 colour screen print are less expensive than 100 24"x18" coroplast signs with full colour print but we can give you an advice on the best print option when we look at your art work.

Q: What is the price for 50 yard bag signs?

A: 50 24"x20" white lawn bag signs with one colour print on both sides are $5.00/sign. Metal frames are included. We can give you much better price if you order 100 signs - $3.20/sign. For details see our Price List

Q: How much are your bag signs and what does the price include?

A: 100 24"x20" white lawn bag signs with 1 colour print on both sides are $3.20/sign; U-shape metal frames are included in the price. For details see our Price List

Q: Could you please quote me on 100 24X20 lawn bag signs, white bags, 2 colors?

A: 100 24"x20" white lawn bag signs with 2 colour print on both sides are $4.60/sign. Generally speaking each additional colour increases the price by about $1.50/sign.

Q: What is the price for lawn signs with 1 side print only?

A: The difference in prices won't be significant: 100 24"x20" white lawn bag signs with 1 colour print on 1 side only are $3.00/sign; U-shape metal frames are included in the price. According to our experience in the most cases the second side works as well but it's up to you to decide.

Q: I want to order 100 bag signs and I need only 35 wires as I already have 65 on hand.

A: Metal frames are in 50pc sets so I'll provide you with 1 50pc set instead of 2 sets. If I pull out frames from a set, they would be rather expensive - $2/frames. If you want to use extra frames you have on hand, you can order more bags instead.

PRICES FOR COROPLAST SIGNS (SCREEN PRINT)

Q: How much are 100 24x12 coroplast signs? 50pcs?

A: 100 24"x12" white coroplast signs with one colour print on both sides are $3.50/sign + H-frames $1/ea; 50 signs are $5.00/sign + $1 H-frame.

Q: Please give me a quote for 100 18"x12" coroplast signs with 1, 2 or 3 color print on 1 side.

A: 100pcs 12"x18" white coroplast signs with 1 colour print on 1 side are $2.00/sign. Each additional colour for this sign size is $0.80 extra, so 3 colour print is $3.60/sign. This is the price for the solid colours, without shades. See our price list here.

Q: I need 50 12x16 coroplast post signs, how much are they?

A: The price for 50 12"x16"x4mm white coroplast signs with one colour print on one side only is $3.40/sign.

PRICES FOR COROPLAST SIGNS (FULL COLOUR DIGITAL PRINT)

Q: What is price for 100 lawn signs with full colour print on both sides?

A: 100 24"x18"x4mm white coroplast signs with full colour digital print on both sides are $9.70/sign; H-shape metal frames are $1/ea extra; see our prices for full colour digital print on 4mm white coroplast boards here.

Q: How much are 25 signs with digital print?

A: 25 24"x18" coroplast signs with full colour print on both sides are $13.00/sign + $1.00/ea H-shaped metal frame. See our price list here.

Q: Give me the price for 10 lawn signs with full colour digital print on both sides please.

A: 10 24"x18" coroplast signs with full colour print on both sides are $15.50/sign + $1.00/ea H-shaped metal frame. See our price list here.

Q: I'd like to order 10 32"x24" coroplast signs with step stakes. Do you think your standard step stakes can hold such a big sign?

A: I recommend using two H-frames for a sign of such a size. Wind can easily put a sign on a ground if you use one H-frame for a sign bigger than 24"x18". Our standard 30"x10" H-frames are $1/frame if you order them with coroplast signs. Another option is to buy wooden sticks from Home Depot for example (they are about $1/stick) and attach coroplast signs to these sticks with screws through washers.

TRADE PRICES / WHOLSALE PRICES

Q: Do you sell lawn signs at trade prices for wholesale?

A: Yes. We don't have a wholesale price list. Please contact us and let us know the details of your sign project and we'll provide you with a quote. A good idea is to send us a design drawing, a draft or even just a sample to show us how a sign would look like. If you provide us with art work, our quote will be more accurate.

Q: I need a trade price for Corrugated Signs.

A: We try to keep our prices for coroplast signs as low as possible so there is no much of discount we can give you on coroplast signs. Please let us know your order details and we provide you with a quote.

MAGNET SIGNS

Q: I would like to order magnet signs for my van, are they easy to remove?

A: Vehicle magnet signs are easy to put on a vehicle and very easy to remove (they are just big magnets). That why a magnet option is very popular if you don't want to advertise your business all the time.

CUT OUT VINYL GRAPHICS

Q: I have a tent and I need a logo printed on all 4 sides of the tent cover. There are certain colour codes (3) for the logo that I will need to pass on to you for printing.

A: For this job we suggest using cut out vinyl graphics because it is impossible to print directly on a tent. For the design we can use different colours but we need you to specify these colours (PMS# for example or pick up colours from a vinyl catalog that we use).
The price depends on the total square footage and number of colours used for the signage and it is about $10 - $15/sq.ft. for approximate price calculations.
Please let us know the size of each spot with a sign and the colours you want us to use and we'll give you the ultimate quote.

VEHICLE GRAPHICS

Q: Can you recommend me any advertising for my car? I want to place my business info on the rear window.

A: We can make and apply perforated vinyl (see thru car window decals) to your vehicle windows. This is a very popular advertising option for a vehicle rear window. The price depends on a vinyl piece size. For a rear vehicle window the vinyl cost with installation is about $120 - $150 depending on a window size. I need to measure a rear window of your vehicle to give you the ultimate quote.

VINYL STICKERS

Q: How much are 250 - 500 yellow vinyl stickers half of a letter size?

A: 250 yellow vinyl stickers with 1 colour print are $320.00; 500 yellow vinyl stickers with 1 colour print are $430.00.
Vinyl stickers are strong and weather proof. If you want to try this advertising, you can consider paper stickers, they are less expensive: 1000 8.5"x5.5" paper stickers with full colour print are $262.00, see our Price List.

A-SIGNS

Q: I need an A-sign, possibly 2. How much if I buy 2?

A: We have different models of A-frames, please see the available options and prices here.
The prices for coroplast inserts you can find here.
Please let us know A-sign size and provide us the info you want to include and we'll give you a quote.

BROCHURES

Q: Do you print brochures? How much are they?

A: We print brochures, flyers, post cards, business cards etc. For example 1000 letter size brochures with full colour digital print on both sides and folded are $220.00.

HOUSE NUMBER & ADDRESS (CUT OUT ACRYLIC LETTERS)

Q: Wondering if you can please let me know about your pricing for your cursive house lettering.

A: An approximate price is $300.00. Please let us know the text you want to install (digits and letters) and approximate sign dimensions (sign length & height) and we'll provide you with the ultimate quote. It's a good idea to send a photo of the wall where you are planning to place the address. If you are located not far from us (our location is Bathurst & Rutherford), our installer comes over to your place for a site check.
